Hi, I am Thaddeus Corea, the producer, engineer and composer at Jaguar Recording Studio. I come from 3 generations of musicians. Jazz legend Chick Corea is my father and probably my greatest musical influence. My grandfather, Armando, was my music teacher. I have been playing music professionally for 35 years, and producing music in studios for 25 years.
My main instruments are drums, guitar, bass, vocals, and a wide variety of percussion. I enjoy using samples (everything from pots and pans to Gregorian chants) to design textural layers and drum loops, and especially recording real instruments played by real people. Jaguar Recording Studio always has a great-sounding DW drum kit, guitars, amps, and keyboards set up with mics in place, ready to record. I work in Logic, but if your project is already in ProTools format, I do that too.
You can bring your musical ideas in any form, at any stage of readiness, and I will help you make those ideas into reality with my special skills in composition and engineering. I cater to each individual's needs, whether that is a professionally silent engineer, a fully involved co-writer and producer, or somewhere in between.
For the past 15 years I have been playing Drums, Bass, Chapman Stick, and Zither for The Blue Man Group in Las Vegas. Even with my performance schedule, I always make time to produce and compose in the studio. I have recorded artists in Los Angeles and here in Las Vegas. A few of my local clients have gotten aired on KOMP 92.3 and Extreme 107.5 (Red Means Go, Paper Tigers, and The Honorifics ) In 2008, I composed several tracks for Keith Mosher's directorial film debut One Long Day. I write in a wide variety of genres, for instance, the rock musical Life After Life.
